Road ride - Auckland to Hamilton

One for the roadies. Over the long Anzac weekend I cycled from Auckland to Hamilton. This is a great ride on some very quiet roads and would suit our hire road bikes perfectly. The highlight was the Wailato cycle path from Ngaruawahia to Hamilton along the banks of the Waikato river. If you were to do this during the week and leave early you could take the Huia Train back from Hamilton to Auckland (allow at least 6 hours). Please see the Strava Route
